Owner Bio

Shannan Bishop leads Gourmet Gatherings with a passionate purpose: to inspire an enthusiasm for cooking and entertaining by bringing groups together to celebrate in the kitchen. She and her engaging and experienced culinary team set the stage for Gourmet Gatherings “Deliciously Fun Cooking Parties and Corporate Teambuilding Events!”

SHANNAN BISHOP

Shannan is a corporate convert who blended her business consulting career at Andersen Consulting and Deloitte Consulting with her love of entertaining to create a Gourmet Gatherings “recipe for success”. Shannan brings her experience helping companies assess business opportunities, develop strategies, build partnerships and achieve exciting marketplace results to Gourmet Gatherings. After earning her MBA from Harvard Business School, she brought her business expertise to the food and beverage industry. Shannan was in Business Development at Food.com in San Francisco to create online business solutions for many of the nation's largest restaurant groups before pursuing culinary coursework at Tante-Marie's Cooking School. As owner of Gourmet Gatherings, Shannan combines her passion for entertaining with her experience transforming businesses into success stories to provide clients with a one-of-a-kind culinary experience.

Shannan has appeared on NBC’s Today Show, the Food Network's nationally broadcast shows “Recipe for Success” and “Food Fight” and in Better Homes & Gardens, Bon Appetit and Cooking Light magazines. The San Francisco Chronicle newspaper and the Yale School of Management book “Go It Alone – The Secret to Building a Successful Business on Your Own” both praise Gourmet Gatherings.
